North Kigezi is an autonomous Diocese in the Province of the Church of Uganda covering the administrative District of Rukungiri in the South Western Part Uganda and whose main town is Rukungiri.
It was curved out Kigezi Diocese in 1981 .By that time its boundaries extended as far as Congo in the west until….when Kinkizi Diocese seceded to create their own Diocese. Since then the Diocese has continued to grow in strength both numerically of its members and services it offers to its people. At present we have 13 Archdeaconries and 80 Parishes and 220 congregations.
